Celebrating One Year of Women Who Empower Chronicle

As we mark the first anniversary of the Women Who Empower Chronicle (WWEC), I am filled with immense gratitude. This milestone is more than just a celebration of time; it is a testament to the power of women’s voices, resilience, and empowerment. Over the past year, we have committed ourselves to creating a space to educate, celebrate, and empower women—not only in their personal and professional lives but also financially.

Empowering Women Through Financial Education
One of the most transformative steps toward true empowerment is financial literacy. When women understand and take control of their economic well-being, they unlock the freedom to pursue their dreams, support their families, and build legacies that last for generations. In this issue’s cover interview, Jeannie Marmol explores women’s relationship with money and describes the 5 Pillars of Financial Freedom. In this issue, we will spotlight women breaking barriers in business, wealth-building, and financial independence—because economic empowerment is the key to lasting change. Joy Rowland describes how women can protect themselves by creating their own economies, and Dr. Eileen Timmins analyzes the growth benefits of succession planning within organizations.

Celebrating Women’s Success Stories
Every issue of WWEC celebrates strength, perseverance, and achievement. We’ve shared the journeys of women who have overcome challenges, led with purpose, and inspired others to rise. Barbie McKennie Harmon shares the power of standing firm in faith during adversity, and we check in again with Rev. Dr. Adrienne Johnson and the girls and women of Wo Ye Bra. Whether through leadership, entrepreneurship, or personal growth, these stories remind us that when one woman succeeds, we all succeed.

A Community of Growth and Impact
This past year, we have built more than a publication—we have cultivated a community. A community where women uplift one another, exchange knowledge, and create opportunities. Trenaya Reid of TMPR Disability Coaching shares her insights about the challenges and opportunities of travel, transportation, and dating for people with disabilities. We are committed to expanding this movement, ensuring that every woman, regardless of background, has access to resources, mentorship, and inspiration to fuel her journey. Rev. Dr. Adrienne Johnson also shares her tips for safe and fulfilling global travel.

Looking Ahead
As we enter our second year, we reaffirm our mission: to empower, educate, and celebrate women everywhere. Cece Lowry inspires with her article about the trailblazing Vogue Africa. With each story told, each lesson shared, and each milestone achieved, WWEC will continue to be a platform where women’s voices echo, inspire, and ignite change.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, contributions, and engagement make this movement possible. Here’s to another year of empowerment, elevation, and excellence!
